This is how we see one of ours room in Version 467.18

And now on Version 469.0

Room PID : 10628117

Its really annoying ... now the speakers are ''floating'' in the room... I know I am not the onlyone who has problems like this on the new version.

Many I helped of recent needed update their Video Card Drivers. Many, many people on the 467 .x and 468.x versions were "cured" of these by updating the Video Drivers for the Video Card in your computer. Check with the computer manufacturer for any updated Video Drivers.

It seems to be most I dealt with were having trouble with the ATI brand video products. The Nvidia and Intel were fine. BUT this doesn't mean that you should not check for updates anyway.

I would like to know why it is when I post my question or concern I never get any feedback. I think my points are valid. This is so frustrating for me. Maybe is someone just has a link to a version that does not bounce around they could let me know. With the way this new version is running i cant move without seriously being ill. I would think this would be a big concern to IMVU unless you are looking to make people quit.

The only way I know of to fix this is to pull back on the camera until the movement stops. The closer the camera is to the avatar, the more it will follow the movement of the avi, i.e., dance moves, etc.

Edit to add: Not "camera," as if taking a picture, but I couldn't think of another term to say pull back your view of the avatar, lol.

- Internal changes to support future features.

What's the point in having internal changes for future features when you don't even implement the features you are changing things for? Honestly. These kinds of updates are pointless. Can you actually prod the clearly backwards thinking developers and have them fix the problems people are posting? Oh, and how about the furniture refusing to load bug that has been around for years? You know, the one where someone invites you to chat in private, and if you change the scene, none of the furniture loads? How about making some internal changes that actually fixes things? My god, this proprietary technology would do so much better if you open sourced it...Then people who actually know what the hell they are doing could fix the bugs that your developers do not.

I didn't need to update my drivers, however, I did need to change the gaming mode settings....

On my anti-aliasing I had to uncheck the "use application settings box" and have it at a 4X Box filter..
and on my Anisotropic filtering I had to uncheck the same box and set it at 16X...

For those of you like myself.. I had to just play around with the settings a bit for my laptop for it to work (I ALWAYS have a messed up graphic image with an update!!) This is so frusterating~

ATI Movility Radeon HD 4250

I do still have issues however... I've posted the link below for you to see so you understand what I mean when I say that when my images are close up they are clear as day...

However, if I zoom out on them and take the image the edges go back to being jagged again on me. (it only happens to imvu and no other games or progs I use)

What else can I do???? I'm just frusterated I have to go through this after every update anymore!

Say what? lol. Well I translated what you said enough to figure out to check my Chat Client / Advanced Settings, so thank you. It never occurred to me to check the "3D Renderer" because I've never had to touch those setting before and Customer Care didn't suggest it in their reply to my Help Ticket.

I changed it from "Accelerated Graphics (Direct 3D)" to "Standard Graphics." Since it's not broken any more, I'm going to stop fixing it. lol.

Ditto!

I gotta say IMVU, this new release 469.0 and its preleases are the slowest and malfunctioned in all credible point i have ever to experience. I was always your big fan of pre-releases cause everytime those come out wanna always update to the latest, but this time i am holding back my temptation to update my current version, which in fact works fast and perfectly funtional! Gotta say , you guys really went down hill with this new version...i hope you get back to your feets soon enough to fix those issues in which already some users have pointed out.

By the way, why there is an increase in software size KB's?? Is it necessary? From my experience IMVU client often works perfect when its light weight in size. Just giving you a heads up there.

Thanks.

Quick update.

Out of 13 people I helped ( or attempted to) with Video problems in the client on versions 468.x and 469.x
11 of them are running Mobile Graphics Chipsets (Notebooks). Most are 64mb Video Ram or LESS :/

I thought that was interesting... Hope this helps.
